Happy Wednesday, friends! I'm here linking up with Joyce for today's weekly Hodgepodge. I'll jump in!
1. No foolin'! April's here; what's one fun thing on your April calendar? I have a trip at the end of this month that I've been looking forward to for months! I've been excited, but now that it's almost here, I am literally thinking about and talking about it with Marilyn all the time. I cannot wait for our second annual bloggers' retreat! Last year Marilyn, Joanne, Tanya, and I went to Nashville for a long weekend; this year that same group plus Amy and Maria are doing it again, this time in Louisville! It's going to be epic. Marilyn and I are driving together, and we'll pick up Tanya in Nashville on our way. Maria will meet us there, Joanne is flying in from Connecticut, and Amy lives there, so we'll meet up Friday afternoon and get the party started!
2. It's often said, "A fool and his money are soon parted"...what's the last thing you wasted money on? This one's hard, because I don't waste money. I would say that one time in the last nine months, I paid for an exercise app on my phone that I only used four times; I canceled it quickly, but still. I was irritated with myself for paying for that when I could have used YouTube for free doing the same thing.
3. April 2nd is National DIY Day. Are you a do-it-yourself kind of person? What's the last thing you DIYed? What's the last thing you hired someone to do for you? I am definitely a DIY person and here is my last project below.
4. Do you eat lamb? If so, do you have a favorite dish that calls for that? I do not eat lamb, but I have eaten it before. I am not a fan of it, honestly, and also? They're too cute to eat.
5. Do you fit a stereotype in some way? Explain. I always call myself a basic white female, because I love Target, coffee, and browsing to shop. 🤣
6. Insert your own random thought here. I don't have any new worship songs to share, but I am having a moment with fast and upbeat music. Because of that, I've been listening to a lot of Maroon 5 and Meghan Trainor lately. My current favorite is the song Rollin' by Meghan Trainor. Here's the video below.
This is always such a fun post to write! I love reading your answers as well, so I'll see you over on your blogs later today. Thanks for being here to read mine! Love to all.
I can't bring myself to try lamb.. I have a hard time with most meat but lambs are so cute and so soft! LOL. I try really hard not to waste money either but sometimes I don't realize it's a waste until I've after spent it!
ReplyDeleteRight?? They're too cute! All I can think of was that Jesus came into the world gentle and quiet as a lamb...and that's all it takes for me to never eat it again. Isn't that annoying to realize it was a waste of money after the fact? I felt the same with that app.
DeleteI agree about the lamb- I said I like the chocolate shaped lamb candy you see at Easter :). Looking forward to Louisville!! I hope your door makes you smile every time you see it! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteOoooohhhh, chocolate lambs I can handle! I can't wait until our trip and to meet you in person! It's going to be amazing. It does make me smile each and every time I pass by it on the road or while it's open. Happy Wednesday, my friend!
DeleteOh, your blogger trip sounds so fun!!! And I LOVE your pink door. It's so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think we're all pretty excited about the trip!
DeleteYay for a new month! That song is super fun! Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteYay for a new month and day, and for God's new mercies! I hope your day is great, my friend, and thank you for such a good time last night! That might just be one of my most favorite nights yet. Mar and Jenn, PIs extraordinaire!
DeleteThe pink door is amazing! I didn't know if we were talking about the trip yet! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI love it so much! I laughed, because some of us are and someone isn't. 🤣 I think we're all excited, to say the least. I'm working on a road trip playlist for Marilyn and me!
DeleteAlready jealous of your trip! I thought today was Currently day...oops!
ReplyDeleteAww! And OH NO. I completely forgot! I'll work on a post now to get up today. So sorry!
DeleteOhh! I am excited for you and all the other bloggers to get together! I can't wait to read all about it.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your front door! I would like mine to be that colour but I don't think our landlord would agree.
Thank you! It's going to be so much fun. I love the pink door so much! It makes me so happy.
DeleteI am obsessed with that door but CANNOT WAIT to read all about your trip- some of my favorite ladies around- yeah! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I still love it so much. I can't wait to talk about it! You should join us next year.
DeleteHow FUN is it that you have blogger friends that are also IRL friends!! I have never met anyone else that was a blogger, I would love to have some blogger friends! I even follow most of their blogs as well! Fun! I hope ya'll have a blast! Also, lambs are way too cute to eat, that made me giggle but I whole heartedly agree! I hope you have a fantastic visit, and again, that pink door is everything :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun! I feel so fortunate to have that, and I know they feel the same. Thanks for that! And for the door love, too. It makes me smile every time I walk or drive past!
DeleteYour blogger friend get together sounds like so much fun! I enjoy all of them in the blog world and am sure you'll have a wonderful time 'in real life' : ) I love your door!
ReplyDeleteYour trip sounds like fun. I hope you have a great time. I just made reservations to go to Nashville the end of this month. Any must-have restaurants (or other spots) you would recommend??
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for the trip. The "basic white female" stereotype made me laugh...i guess that's me too! I'm the same way with wasting money.
