life lately

Happy Thursday from all the dogs and me!

Speaking of dogs, and because Amy inspired me on an IG message yesterday, I thought I'd talk about Stella and a few other random things that have been going on.

I'll start with Stella. She's growing like a weed! As cute as she is, do not be deceived: she is a little punk. I'm getting better with being patient with her, though, and trying to remember that she's just a puppy that needs to learn. She hasn't had as many accidents as she was having, for which I'm thankful, and she's learning more each day. Chloe (Jonah's dog) is doing such a great job at teaching Stella the ropes. Did you know that dogs teach each other? It's true!

Stella loves her toys (especially tennis balls), chewing on the legs of furniture, eating her big sister's food, barking, growling, jumping up to see what I'm doing, and afternoon naps spent in my lap. She's super cuddly!

I've gone back to choir practice on Wednesday nights! This makes me so happy; this was me last night from 6:40 to 7:20. I have to get there late and leave early, but every little bit of in-person practice helps. We're getting ready for Good Friday and Easter. I'm excited to sing with them on that day, and all the time again starting in July! I can't wait to sing again; I've missed it so much.

I love my colored pens! I got these for my birthday from Jonah, and I take them with me to work everyday. I love making brightly colored to-do lists, do you?

I played Bunco again this week! This is my friend's house that we met at for April. I'm so glad my friend Karen asked me to join them! I love getting to know new people and this is a fun group of women. I had a blast doing this Tuesday night, and who doesn't love winning prizes?!

These sentences are all so true! It gave me pause when I saw it on IG this week. Do you follow me there, if you're on Instagram? You should! My name there is Jenn M. Lloyd.

The library will forever and always be my happy place. It thrills me every time I walk through the doors; this was me there on Monday again. I was looking for one book, but came home with about five more. 🤣 I have such a book problem!

What's been going on in your life lately? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for being here to read my blog today, friends. Love to all!

Jenn ❤️🩷

    1. Isn't she funny?! Chloe is my favorite, too! She's our emotional support dog, right? Do I need to bring her with me to your house tonight? I'm kidding. I wouldn't and she hates car rides. 🤣 I'm excited to spend time with you tonight! I'll bring my laptop. Thanks, friend! Love you lots.

    1. Well that's weird, and I accidentally commented to you under Marilyn's comment, so you'll have to read what I said there. I love that dogs teach puppies! I think they're amazing animals, and I'm glad we have them to make us laugh and love. I am so happy for that, too! Thank you!

  4. Aww! Stella is just adorable, a little ball of fur! She does sound like trouble though but it sounds like she's learning. Good job to Chloe for teaching her the ropes.
It sounds like you are so happy to be going to choir practice.

    1. Thank you, I think she's precious, and so FLUFFY! I love when they're little because they're so soft. Dogs are so smart, right? Thank you, friend! I hope you have a great day!

  6. I love what a "non-commitment" getting library books can be. Read them, browse through them, or don't even crack them open...it doesn't matter because they're free! Michael said he dreamed of getting another puppy the other night, and I was like..."Uh...no!" Have a great Thursday!

    1. Yes!! Me too. Oh my...was that a dream or a nightmare? I am not a fan of the puppy phase! They're worse than newborns! I don't blame you one bit for not wanting one...I didn't want this one, but she belongs to Jonah, and he's a grown man who pays for his own things. I hope you have a great day!

  7. I did the same thing at our library the other day; I went in looking for 2 books and came home with 6!

  8. I mentioned in an earlier comment that I might have bitten off more than I could chew by keeping two grandkids and two dogs (in addition to our one diva) while prepping for my next chemo treatment (last week, prepping for yesterday). I was afriad we broke their puppy - by the fourth day, he'd go outside and run and play, just loving it then come back in and use my hallway or my kitchen (but not rugs, thank goodness) as his bathroom. Thankfully, it was the day before Mom & Dad returned. Going forward, kids can stay anytime. Dogs need to be boarded. And to think when they first arrived, I thought our Tellie needed a puppy....NOPE!

    1. I remember you saying that! Uh oh! Oh my word, you just made me laugh over the thought of you breaking their puppy. Dogs AND kids is a lot, so I don't begrudge you for that decision, especially given what you're going through medically at this moment. You are amazing to have agreed to any of that in the first place! I admire your strength, my friend. You are strong and amazing!

    2. And you are inspirational and not only bring joy to so many, you remind me to seek the joy in my own life!

    3. That's such a kind thing to say! Thank you for your encouragement, my friend. I appreciate you so much and pray for you often!
