I'll start with Stella. She's growing like a weed! As cute as she is, do not be deceived: she is a little punk. I'm getting better with being patient with her, though, and trying to remember that she's just a puppy that needs to learn. She hasn't had as many accidents as she was having, for which I'm thankful, and she's learning more each day. Chloe (Jonah's dog) is doing such a great job at teaching Stella the ropes. Did you know that dogs teach each other? It's true!
Stella loves her toys (especially tennis balls), chewing on the legs of furniture, eating her big sister's food, barking, growling, jumping up to see what I'm doing, and afternoon naps spent in my lap. She's super cuddly!
These sentences are all so true! It gave me pause when I saw it on IG this week. Do you follow me there, if you're on Instagram? You should! My name there is Jenn M. Lloyd.
The library will forever and always be my happy place. It thrills me every time I walk through the doors; this was me there on Monday again. I was looking for one book, but came home with about five more. 🤣 I have such a book problem!
What's been going on in your life lately? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for being here to read my blog today, friends. Love to all!
Jenn ❤️🩷
Oh Stella! The dogs always make me laugh. I will take some Chloe time any day of the week. I'm glad you can do things you enjoy again like singing in the choir and learning Bunko!
ReplyDeleteIsn't she funny?! Chloe is my favorite, too! She's our emotional support dog, right? Do I need to bring her with me to your house tonight? I'm kidding. I wouldn't and she hates car rides. 🤣 I'm excited to spend time with you tonight! I'll bring my laptop. Thanks, friend! Love you lots.
DeleteAll so true, one of my besties always reminds me "plant the seeds where they will be watered"....make the deposits where the investments will pay off i.e choose those w ho choose you :)
ReplyDeleteI love that! It's true and such great advice. I'm going to remember this! Happy Thursday, friend!
DeleteThank you! She is so stinking cute. I love that dogs teach puppies. Do you think Chloe likes her? I am so happy you got to/get to do choir again!
ReplyDeleteWell that's weird, and I accidentally commented to you under Marilyn's comment, so you'll have to read what I said there. I love that dogs teach puppies! I think they're amazing animals, and I'm glad we have them to make us laugh and love. I am so happy for that, too! Thank you!
DeleteAww! Stella is just adorable, a little ball of fur! She does sound like trouble though but it sounds like she's learning. Good job to Chloe for teaching her the ropes.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are so happy to be going to choir practice.
Thank you, I think she's precious, and so FLUFFY! I love when they're little because they're so soft. Dogs are so smart, right? Thank you, friend! I hope you have a great day!
DeleteStella is adorable! I play in a bunco group too and bunco night is one of my favorite nights of the month.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she? Thank you! Oh, I love that you do this! It's so much fun.
DeleteI love what a "non-commitment" getting library books can be. Read them, browse through them, or don't even crack them open...it doesn't matter because they're free! Michael said he dreamed of getting another puppy the other night, and I was like..."Uh...no!" Have a great Thursday!
ReplyDeleteYes!! Me too. Oh my...was that a dream or a nightmare? I am not a fan of the puppy phase! They're worse than newborns! I don't blame you one bit for not wanting one...I didn't want this one, but she belongs to Jonah, and he's a grown man who pays for his own things. I hope you have a great day!
DeleteI did the same thing at our library the other day; I went in looking for 2 books and came home with 6!
ReplyDeleteYes! I love this. We are so much alike!
DeleteI mentioned in an earlier comment that I might have bitten off more than I could chew by keeping two grandkids and two dogs (in addition to our one diva) while prepping for my next chemo treatment (last week, prepping for yesterday). I was afriad we broke their puppy - by the fourth day, he'd go outside and run and play, just loving it then come back in and use my hallway or my kitchen (but not rugs, thank goodness) as his bathroom. Thankfully, it was the day before Mom & Dad returned. Going forward, kids can stay anytime. Dogs need to be boarded. And to think when they first arrived, I thought our Tellie needed a puppy....NOPE!
ReplyDeleteI remember you saying that! Uh oh! Oh my word, you just made me laugh over the thought of you breaking their puppy. Dogs AND kids is a lot, so I don't begrudge you for that decision, especially given what you're going through medically at this moment. You are amazing to have agreed to any of that in the first place! I admire your strength, my friend. You are strong and amazing!
DeleteAnd you are inspirational and not only bring joy to so many, you remind me to seek the joy in my own life!
DeleteThat's such a kind thing to say! Thank you for your encouragement, my friend. I appreciate you so much and pray for you often!
