Currently [April 2025]

Happy Wednesday, friends! I am so sorry that I forgot about this post today and it's lateness. Thank you to Dara for pointing this out to me today in my Hodgepodge post comments! This month we're talking about what we're currently loving, adding to cart, reading, watching, and listening to. I'll jump right in and will provide the prompts for next month at the bottom of this one.

loving

I'm currently loving long walks either alone or with friends, beautiful places to do that in (amidst a gorgeous tulip garden or around a lake), and puppies.

If my life had a theme right now, it would be loving time spent with family, friends, and holding babies or puppies.

adding to cart

The shoes pictured above are what I added to my cart this month; I'm not shopping much these days, but I'm thinking of adding a new purse strap to my cart soon. Here's a post from this week where I shared links for the shoes that you see pictured above.

reading

I'm not reading much of anything currently.

I had started this book recently and never finished it, so I picked it back up this week. It's really good! I'm unable to sit quietly for too long a time, so I just can't read. The only thing I'm consistently reading on a daily basis is my Bible, except for the times when I get a little behind.

watching

Well, I was watching Ted Lasso, but had to stop. I'm watching Madam Secretary, The Voice, and Grey's Anatomy. I went to start a new show this week, but it was scary, so I quit immediately. I can't do scary, because I'm alone too much!

listening to

I love country music, but I can't listen to it right now. I'm currently listening to a lot of Maroon 5 and Meghan Trainor, but I'm having a moment with Meghan. It's playing as I write this post.

Please forgive me for being late with this post! I'll do better next month! In May we'll be talking about what we're currently loving, looking forward to, leaving behind, letting go of, and looking at. Thanks for reading this today and linking up with me! Love to all.

  1. I can't wait for walking weather and tulips outside! Today, so far, we've had snow, freezing rain, and a thunderstorm. Ugh. (And no, I'm not joking about this!) I thought maybe there was so much going on with you right now, Currently was happening a different day :) Thanks for posting it!

    1. Oh, I'm sure you'll be glad for that! Wow...that's a lot of changing weather. Somedays it's like that here!

  2. Your pictures from your walks are so good- I'm so glad you're enjoying great company and scenery. Can't go wrong with "just" reading the Bible :). I will try to get a post up on Friday or Saturday but no guarantees. I do like the prompts. Have a great evening- I hope your weather is ok. I specifically saw something online about Memphis being in the line of storms.

    1. Thank you! I'm glad for that, too. I'm always glad to have you post, but no worries if it doesn't happen, my friend. The weather was iffy yesterday and again today, but here's to hoping that all is okay. I'm a baby when it comes to the weather!

  3. I'm loving walking right now too...the weather is so nice! I didn't get a hodgepodge OR currently post out today, I just wasn't feeling motivated. Some days I don't have much to say...ha, ha! Are you getting hit with storms? Stay safe!

    1. Yes! I love it when the weather is perfect. I get not feeling motivated! That's been me recently, but it's getting better as the days pass. We did get hit with thunderstorms last night and today (and tomorrow), but so far it's been going past us. I'm praying about the rest of the days! It's nerve wracking, and I feel terrible for the people who did get hit really badly.

  5. The walks sound wonderful! I am going to start my evening walks now that the clocks have changed and it's lighter on an evening.
I don't do any scary shows or movies either, I can't even bring myself to watch them during the day when I have my family home.

  7. The tulips are so pretty! I can't wait until it's warm enough here for gardens. For now I just keep buying them at the store.
