Happy Thursday, friends! I'm joining in with my friends as co-host for this fun monthly link party on ageless style. This month is all about pink and red since it's the month that's known for celebrating love. Just a caveat, though: everyday should be spent celebrating love, whether for your significant other or for your kids or your friends. It's always a good idea to celebrate the loved ones we have in our lives!
It was my turn to pick the theme for this month, and while I love pink and red together, I don't have any of it for this time of year that fits that theme. What was I thinking? 🤣 Because of that, I'll share what I've been wearing this month that is heart themed or those colors separately.
I love this heart ring that was a gift last summer! I don't wear it all the time, but I love wearing it sometimes with certain things.
I got this little happy in the mail last week; I love it so much! I combined the red and pink for Valentine's on my nails last week. Sidenote: I'm still doing my own nails and loving it. I love changing the color every few days, and they've gotten so much better than when I first had the dip removed. I think the key to them being healthier is that I don't clip them; I only file them when they tear or get a snag. I basically have files all over the house.
I have a thing for hearts; I wear them as earrings everyday almost, and I love what they represent. I love loving people; one way I do that best is to pray for them, which is why I have a heart tattooed on my inner wrist. It's my prayer that my sons would love their Lord with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength, and that they would love others like they love themselves.
I'm also a huge fan of a bold lip and wear the colors red and hot pink pretty regularly. Other days I am in the mood for neutral and wear that. Days like yesterday (a snow day) found me in no makeup and lip balm to keep my lips moisturized.
Do you like to wear pink and red? Remember when we thought those two colors clashed? I love them together now! Thanks for linking up with us today, friends, and for reading my blog. I'll see you back here tomorrow! Love to all.
I don't really ever wear them together; not that it's a conscious thing I just don't have any pieces of clothing that combine those two colors but I do love them both. I keep nail files everywhere too-- including in my purse and car.
ReplyDeleteI think I have one top that I wear in the summer that is red and pink, but I would have to scroll too far back to find a picture of me in it; plus, it wasn't seasonally appropriate. Yes! I have one in my little pouch of lipstick that is always with me no matter the bag I carry.
DeleteI love red and pink. I wear more red than I do pink though, especially in the winter. I remember at one time when growing up with had a red and pink bedroom that all 3 of us girls shared. The carpet was red and the walls were pepto-bismol pink. At that time I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI do too! I think red would look great on you. I love that about your childhood bedroom!
DeleteThat heart ring is just fabulous and it's great that you are enjoying doing your own nails.
ReplyDeleteI wear a lot of red but mostly dark red but I do love red lipstick and nails.
Isn't it? I love it so much. I'm probably going to wear it today, now that I'm talking about it again. It's the most fun piece of jewelry I own! I love a red lip!
DeleteI do remember when red and pink together was a no-no! I have never had much red anyway. Love both of those hearts! So cute!

I don't wear red (former L'Oreal redhead) but my bedroom from middle school until after college was pink and red.....all because of a red and pink shag carpet swatch. I loved that decor so much! Pink is still me fave for many things.
ReplyDeleteI really like that pink block shirt! And I do love my pink sneakers: I wear them all the time in warmer months. The ring is so much fun! I managed to do red and pink in one outfit, but I don't usually do that too often.

I love the heart ring. I don't wear pink and red together, though I do think they look just fine. Thank you for hosting the linkup!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I need to add more color to my wardrobe! Too many black shirts in my closet. :) Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove that color block sweater with pink sneaks. So cozy and cute. I would live in that outfit all Feb. long.
