Happy Friday, friends! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for today's blog post. How has your week been? Mine was good for the most part, which I'm taking as a win! I have some favorite moments from this week, and I bet you do too! Here are mine:

I mentioned yesterday that one thing I was thankful for this week was that I got to have an unexpected lunch with my mom, Bill, and Jonah, and that Jonah came to pick me up from work. That was a favorite of mine this week, Jonah picking me up and being driven around by him. I love when my sons drive me around! I also loved that Noah chauffeured me around this week as well, while I was in Dallas.

While some of the outfits I wore this week were my favorite, my hair was not. It's been so big and frizzy all week long, and for the life of me, I can't figure out why. It starts out normal and as the day goes on, it grows outward. I'm going to look for something new to use on it tomorrow. Do you have naturally curly hair? Do you have a product you love that you use? If you fit that bill, feel free to shoot your recs to me in the comments!

Seeing my dad's truck in my driveway is my favorite. My dad left it to my brother, and he left the tractor to me, but because Jonah wanted the truck to stay in the family, we traded, and now truck lives here with Jonah and me. He plans on working on it and sprucing it up a little so that he can drive it occasionally; he's sentimental about it because Dad taught all the boys how to drive in this!

On a completely unrelated note, this kitchen is my favorite and I want mine to look just like it, including the dog.

This song was a favorite that we sang in church last Sunday. There's a line in the song that says, "Even when you don't see it, He's working; Even when you don't feel it, He's working. He never stops, He never stops working." I was worshiping as we sang this last week, but when it came to that stanza, I just hung my head and wept. I don't always feel or sense God near, or that He's working on my behalf, but I know that He is. I know that I can trust Him, because He is trustworthy. I know that He is with me, and I know that even though the person I loved most abandoned me, and let me down, God never will do that to me. He loves me, He will never leave me, and His love unconditional. I don't know what it was about singing this song last week that hit me, but it's been a while since I was moved to tears like that during worship.

And because I don't want to end on a sad note, I'll share that these memories are one of my favorites from the week.

Seeing Noah and spending time with friends is always a favorite thing, especially when it involves a sleepover! What was something that was a favorite for you this week? I'd love to hear from you! Also, tomorrow is the last Saturday of September, which means it's time for Share Four Somethings; the prompts are things we loved or disliked, accomplished, improved upon/needs improvement, and noticed this month. I hope you make plans to join me tomorrow!

Thanks for reading my blog, friends. Love to all!

  1. Way Maker is a great song! I like it when that is one of our worship songs at church. I like it when my son drives me around- he did that when I drove to his work place for lunch. He insisted on driving to lunch since I had driven down to his office. That´s neat that your sons do that for you as well. Have a great weekend!

    1. I love it too, and it's been ages since we've sung it in church. I love that they drive me around; they're all such excellent drivers, at least while I'm in the car and that's all I can ask for. Jonah revved his engine a couple of times to show me how loud it can get, but that was all. I love that Jacob did that for you as well!

  2. Do you think it's just all the rain and humidity? I love your outfits! Early fall perfection! So sweet about the truck, too.

    1. Quite possibly. I hope? I really am going to try to find a new product this weekend, just to see if that helps. Thanks! I love seeing it so much.

    1. I thought of you, because you dreamed about that song recently! It's funny how we sang it for the first time in about two years in church. I love this kitchen so much! It's fun to dream about my next home.

  6. I love that song. I catch it on the radio once in a while. So sweet that your son has your dad's truck and the wonderful memories they have when he taught each of them to drive in it. Very cute outfits and I think your hair looks really nice. But then my hair is fairly straight and extremely thin right now and I'd love to have some more hair. lol

    1. I do too, Cathy! Thank you for that! And that is some perspective for me complaining about my hair. Thank you for that!

  7. "Even when you don't see it, He's working; Even when you don't feel it, He's working. He never stops, He never stops working." Love this! I have to admit, friend, that I am also in a season where I am not sensing His working. I don't see it and I don't even feel it. But I do know truth! I am trying to cling to truth and to His promises despite how I feel or despite what I can/cannot see. Thanks for the reminder. Love the truck in your driveway!:)

    1. I am sorry that you're in this same type of season right now. It's not the easiest, that is for sure! I am like you; I know the truth of His word, and I am clinging to it everyday. Thank you, my friend!

  8. How great to have your boys driving you around.
I love your hair even though it gets frizzy. Good luck with finding something that helps.
What lovely photos from your week, have a great weekend.

  9. Popping in here for the first time from Ashes for Beauty. LOVE your hair!!! Mine is quite straight unless the Florida humidity increases and gives it much-needed body.

Also love the graphic from Waymaker. I often ponder how our Lord is working where I can't see Him and I'm so very grateful because I've exhausted all I can do in my own strength to deal with some things. Just the other day something happened that proved to me He has been, indeed, working where I was not aware. Thank You, Jesus! Keep blogging. You do a good job of it!

  10. That is so neat that your dad taught all the boys to drive using the same truck. That kitchen is beautiful!

  11. So glad you got to spend time with your boys! I use Ouidad Heat and Humidity gel when my hair is wet, and then Shea Moisture oil when it's dry and frizzy!
