Happy Friday, friends! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for today's blog post. How has your week been? I am so happy to say that though mine was filled with a tiny bit of turmoil and anxiety, it was much better this week! You have no idea how happy that makes me to be able to say that. I keep reminding myself that better days are just ahead; I can almost taste them they're so close. Even though I am seeing more of that proverbial light at the end of this tunnel that I'm in, I do still have a bit of time until I can fully breathe again. I am anxiously awaiting that day!
I have some favorites from this week! I'll share them below.
We were literally swooning over the infamous ribbon library room. They're adding to it this week, because he recently received two containers full of the ribbon that he designed. I can't wait to see his own brand of that; he has impeccable taste, and I think he's such a cutie! He could be my son, but I loved these pictures that I saw in the restroom. You know I had to take pictures! You should follow him on Instagram if you don't already! Here's his page.
These were a couple of my favorite outfits from the week! I wore the green dress on Tuesday and needed to be comfortable since it was a long day and because I had an appointment immediately following work. I pulled out my favorite top to celebrate a small victory this week; I have had it for at least three years, and I love it more as time goes on. I always get complimented on it when I wear it, so I'm glad it's not out of style!
Sleepy mornings are my favorite at home! I love it when I don't have to leave home very quickly and the dogs get to do this. They love being lazy; for that matter, I like to be lazy in the mornings too.
It's been a busy week, but those are all the pictures I have. We had some crazy weather here yesterday, with the hurricane that came through the gulf; it headed straight toward us here in West Tennessee! My sister was here all week, so I got to see her a lot, and she helped me a lot with something big that happened in my life this week. I will also say this about my week, specifically yesterday: I will always remember September 12th as the day I took my life back. I'll share more eventually, but I can't really talk about it just yet. Lots of you have reached out to me, and I appreciate you for doing that! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes, too. I could never say thank you enough! If you ever want to chat more, feel free to email me at allboys@gmail.com.
What was a favorite of yours this week? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog today, friends! Love to all!
Jenn 🖤
How great to get to spend time with your sister from out of state- I got to spend time with mine as well which has been wonderful. It sounds like many pivotal things happened this week and that God is working in ways you could hardly imagine needing his help even five months ago. I will continue to pray for you and your sons. You are their rock and they are fortunate to have you! Speaking of pivoting, I will switch gears to the weather. What kind of weather did you get? Lots of rain? We are in a severe drought and desperately need rain but not severe weather. Have a great weekend, friend!
ReplyDeleteI love that you got to see your sister this week as well! You are right; it was a huge week, and one I am thankful for since it has me taking a huge step forward. Thank you for your prayers! As far as the weather, it was really only crazy rain for the entire day and it was super windy last night, but not as much as they said it would be. We needed the rain, too!
DeleteSo thankful you had your sister with you this week! I love hearing the good report of your week.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Thank you, friend! I'm excited to see you tonight.
DeleteSo happy for you! I love that your sister came and that you did get to appreciate the beauty of JM's store. I do follow him! I love the green dress! I love the top. I can see your change in the photos. You do look like a woman who is taking her life back.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love that we got to do that together. I feel that way!
DeleteYou got this Mama! So glad your sister was there with you- love how you went to your fave sushi place and store- so fun XO
ReplyDeleteI do! I am so thankful for her, and that we also had fun in the midst of our things we had to do.
DeleteI am glad you are feeling positive and are looking ahead. I feel the same about what is going on in my life. I can't say much about it either but I will eventually share. Hang on in there!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a lovely time with your sister! The ribbon looks amazing!!
Aww! Sweet Bea really is a sweetheart!
Thank you! I'm glad you're feeling good about your situation as well. You hang in there too, my friend!
DeleteI bet that was so wonderful to get to spend so much time with your sister this week! That store looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt was so good! Oh, girl. You should see it in person!
DeleteI love all the puppy pictures. That Sweet Bea does have the most expressive eyes. Slow comfy mornings are the very best! Unfortunately, we haven't had to many of those this week, but last week we did, so I guess I won't complain. lol I noticed the piano in one of your photos...do you play?
ReplyDeleteI love puppy dog eyes! I agree with you about those being the very best mornings. I dabble just a tiny bit on the piano, but nothing serious. I only play by ear.
DeleteI wish I could play by ear, but it's just something I've never really been able to do very well.
DeleteAnd I wish I'd kept taking piano lessons as a young girl!
DeleteI'm so glad your sister was there this week to support you.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I could never thank her enough for flying to my rescue.
