Share Four Somethings

Happy Saturday, friends! Today we're talking about the things we loved or disliked, accomplished, improved upon/needs improvement, and noticed this month. I'll jump in!

Loved

I have loved my morning quiet times!

And I loved being with my sisters. I am so fortunate to have them in my life! Actually, I've loved lots of family time this month, including family from out of town and our new family weekly dinners.

It's been a great August!

Accomplished

I accomplished quite a bit concerning my future! I made my closet completely mine, and I am loving how that makes me feel seeing all of my clothes and shoes so well organized and displayed in a way that feels pretty.

This feels very empowering and liberating! I'm embracing my new self/future.

Improved upon

I am the most proud of what I've improved upon this month, and that is speaking up for myself. If I have something to say, I say it with zero hesitation and fear over what anyone may think. I've had to say some hard things recently, and I'm forever grateful to have family and friends cheering me on.

Noticed

It's started happening already, even though it's not quite September; I've noticed that the mornings are getting cooler! I'm so excited about this that I'm celebrating by decorating for Fall today. I am beside myself! Pictures to come soon. 🖤

I'm so glad you're here today! I am excited to read all of your posts this week. Thanks for being a part of this fun link party, and for reading my blog today! Love to all.

  1. I love seeing all these family photos!! That is wonderful that you are speaking up/standing up for yourself more. I try not be confrontational too but I definitely started speaking more of my mind several years ago and it felt so much better than keeping quiet just to keep the peace.

    1. Thank you! I am a peacemaker by nature, so it's never been my thing to speak up, especially when it could cause a confrontation. I'm having to de-program my brain from this way of living, and I have people in my life who are encouraging me to remember this. I've also learned that I can do this with kindness in my heart all the while being very matter of fact. It feels great!

    1. Thanks, friend! I don't even think it matters what we share each month, personally, I just kind of kept it like it used to be when someone else hosted this. I'm not picky, I'm just glad you joined with us! I love my closet now, and I'd like to clean more on the shelves that aren't pictured above the clothes you see hanging. I need to get some containers to store clothes/sweaters in. I hope you enjoy your Saturday! Mine is full of plans, which I love.

  3. Yes, to speaking truth, which is to say, speaking up for yourself. Your closet looks great and as ever, the notes that you write in your Bible are #goals (I´m being silly in how I write that but serious in how I love how intentional you are with writing out your thoughts and prayers as you read the Bible.)

    1. Yes! Thank you, friend. For all of that. I haven't done much of that this week since I'm finding myself in Ezekiel; this one's a hard book to read!

  4. How wonderful that you got to spend so much time with family. I love that too. I have two sisters and a brother, and I saw all three of them several times in August as we mutually are taking care of a sick uncle. I hate that my uncle is sick, but I love that it's bringing us all into closer contact again.

    1. I love that you got to spend time with your family as well this month, even if it's because of a sad situation. That's the best way to make the best of things, though! I hope that he recovers soon!

Your closet looks amazing! I really need to sort mine out.
Good on your speaking up for yourself. It is hard to do, I struggle but sometimes some things need to be said.

  9. I love that your morning quiet times have been so encouraging and rewarding. God is so good and I'm glad he is speaking so powerfully to you through Scripture! I love that you got to have so much family time in August - my top thing I loved in August was a family vacation together with my people, so I get it! LOL Hope you have a wonderful September too!

    1. Thank you! I love it when that happens, and I am grateful for the word of God and for the teachers who make it make sense to me when it's hard (like right now in Ezekiel). I am sure you loved that vacation time together!
