Happy Monday, friends! I'm linking up with Holly and Sarah for today's post. I hope you had a good weekend! Mine was good, but I really did not do anything. I did see my dad on Friday; we ate lunch here at my house, then we went to Sam's for me to pick up an order for the bookstore, then I went to the church to unload it all. Sandy picked him up, and Todd went out to ride his motorcycle. I made myself pizza for dinner, which I am pretty sure why my weekend went the way it did. It was good, but I think it made me sick! I watched a movie which is not even worth mentioning here; after that I opted to read my book.
That's pretty much all I did on Saturday too, but I did stop to buy myself a little something online! One of my sons picked it up for me from Academy shortly after I ordered it, but I treated myself to a zero gravity chair for my deck. This thing is so comfy, and I hope to spend lots of time out there reading in the next few weeks, especially before it gets too hot.
My favorites are spicy crawfish and spicy shrimp.
Todd and I left together for church on Sunday morning by 7:15, and we were back home by 12:45. We had to stay after to unbox some five gallon coffee containers (five of them) that I bought for the big event this week at our church, then we ate lunch and watched Friends for the rest of the afternoon. We lead such incredibly exciting lives! 🤣
Tell me your weekend was more exciting than mine! What did you do that you loved? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for reading my blog, friends. Love to all!
p.s. Don't forget about the Currently link party that happens Wednesday and the new Share Your Shelf book link party on Thursday! On Wednesday we'll be talking about what we're currently loving, looking forward to, seeing, reading, and wanting.
I'm so sorry you felt bad! But, I am so happy for your chair!
ReplyDeleteIt's okay. I'm glad I was better by Sunday so that I could enjoy what was left! We did sit out there and took turns enjoying it yesterday. I foresee a second one being bought.
DeleteThe chair sounds nice! Other than church Sunday, I think my boring weekend beats yours. Thank God for Sundays!
ReplyDelete🤣 Well we're just sad. I felt the same way! I was so glad to be among friends that feel like family at church!
DeleteWe had zero ballgames for our grandkids so we totally wasted Saturday watching Grey's Anatomy; Sunday we did leave the house to see Unsung Hero - great movie! (If you haven't watched Grey's, be careful......even my husband is addicted)
ReplyDeleteSometimes those are the best days! We ended Sunday by watching an entire season of Friends. 🤣 I do watch Grey's and love those earlier seasons! It's one show I'm always rewatching. I've heard great things about Unsung Hero and would love to see it myself!
DeleteGosh hope you are feeling better Jennifer- that stinks- does sound like a relaxing weekend though!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling better! Thanks for that, sweet friend. I do think it was nice to have this kind of weekend to gear up for a busy week with work, so I'm glad I had time at home.
DeleteOur weekend wasn't super exciting either, but I am fully on board with some quiet weekends mixed in with all of our busy. We're normally going 110 mph. We had sushi this weekend too : ) Enjoy that chair! I love a zero gravity chair and that looks like the perfect reading spot. I will be reading out on our deck as soon as the pollen calms down. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt is perfect to have slow weekends mixed in among the busy ones! I understand about that pollen, ours seems to have finally calmed down some. I hope you get to do that kind of thing soon!
DeleteMinus the sick part, this is the kind of weekend I love.
ReplyDeleteThey are so nice, Cathy!
DeleteIt sounds like you had a relaxed weekend. I love the sound of the zero gravity chair. I think I could do with one of those. We didn't get up to much, I was dealing with a broken fridge on Saturday and Sunday we stayed home as it rained all day, it was nice having a lazy day.
ReplyDeleteI think you would love this kind of chair! I hope you got your issues worked out with the fridge; that type of thing can be so inconvenient!
DeleteThat sounds like a lovely, relaxing weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pamela! It was.
DeleteSounds like a good weekend, aside from not feeling well for a bit. Love the chair...you were "influenced" by Amy! ;) Hope your busy week goes well.
ReplyDeleteTanya, I was! She's great at that. Ha! Thanks, my friend!
