watching and listening

Happy Tuesday, friends! I thought I'd share a few more movies I've been watching lately and some music I've had on repeat at home and in the bookstore.

One of my favorite movies of the season is Take Me Back for Christmas, thanks to a friend that I work with.

This is one of the movies where the main character experiences what life would look like if things were different. The story was very sweet and moving, and really makes you remember to appreciate the people you have in life while you have them around to enjoy.

I forgot to mention this one when I shared a similar post a couple of weeks ago, but I loved the movie Checkin' it Twice.

I also watched this one over the weekend, and enjoyed it as well. It felt a lot deeper than what is normal for a Hallmark movie, but it was really good.

Lastly, I think this one below might be one of my favorites for the season.

I really like the actors in this one! I think that always helps in determining which ones I love and which ones I don't. Older ones that I love are A Very Merry Bridesmaid, Cranberry Christmas, Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater, Ghosts of Christmas Always, Haul Out the Holly (the 2022 one), Jolly Good Christmas, Noel Next Door, and My Southern Family Christmas. Amy, I had you in mind as I shared all of these today!

Aside from my usual playlists on Spotify that I play Christmas music on, I've also found a few new ones that I love. I listen to these at home, in my car, and while I'm in the bookstore at church.

Are you a fan of K Love? I like to leave this playing for the dogs while I'm away, and if you have a smart tv, you can download the app. When you click to play, you can scroll over to "stations" and select either the regular radio station or Christmas. I selected the Christmas one recently and was pleasantly surprised at all the different music they had playing! Sometimes I like to crank up the volume and listen to Pentatonix; other times I like to listen to mellow music, like this acoustic playlist you see above. My music changes as often as my moods! That's the beautiful thing about Spotify or Pandora, though we prefer Spotify.

What are you watching/listening to and loving? I'd love to hear! I watch a lot of these on Hallmark Movies Now or YouTube TV. Thanks for reading my blog, friends! Love to all.

  1. Haha! Thank you - I took pictures of all of your recs! I may have some down time this weekend or can have one on in the background. I have gotten most of my recs from you - my resident Hallmark Christmas movie expert!
Now I need to decide which book to buy (gasp!) for the trip. Target has a great selection but do I go with a Christmas book or a non-Christmas book?

  3. Amy, I'm glad to help! That's a hard one, about which kind of book to take. Can you take two, just in case one doesn't resonate with you? One of each! I kind of think you have to pick Christmas, if you only want to take one.

  5. I enjoyed seeing what your liked movie wise. I've seen some of those. I've not picked my favorite yet. But the one you picked was a really good one. She's one of my favorite Hallmark actresses. We have a local Christian radio station that plays Christmas music starting November 1st and I listen to the in the car sometimes. I also have a Christmas station I made on Spotify.
