Friday Favorites, 12.8.23.

Happy Friday, friends! As you read this, I'm getting ready to hit the road with my bestie! We're heading to the Nashville area for the day and meeting up with our friend Teresa. I've been so excited about this trip for the last month! I love friend time, it's one of my favorite things! I'm linking up with Andrea and Erika for today's favorite blog post of the week. I'll jump right in!

Festive outfits are my favorite! I wore this to work yesterday and for a few minutes on Tuesday, for our staff Christmas picture.

This has been an extremely festive week! I had an office ladies lunch on Tuesday, at a beautiful home with delicious food prepared by a very sweet friend in our church.

That night I had a dinner to attend with my writing team friends! We went to a new Italian restaurant on the town square, Grisanti's. It was incredible! Actually, the restaurant isn't new. It's in a new location; it's old location was at the back of an antique store. The Grisantis are a well known family from Memphis who have owned several restaurants. I had something called The Elfo Special (he may have been the patriarch of the family); it was half manicotti and half shrimp and mushroom pasta. I had about three bites of each, then I brought the rest of it home for my boys. Noah had it for dinner Wednesday night. I didn't finish the dinner, but I almost licked the plate clean over this dessert.

I adore and greatly admire these godly women! I feel so blessed to have them as wonderful friends in my life. We make up the writing team at our church, and have written Bible studies for women since 2019. We've written five studies together, but are taking a break in 2024. If the Lord wants us to continue, we will, but if we're done, we're okay with whatever His will is for us. Amy is in the front with the red sweater, and is our fearless leader and women's ministry director. Barbee is across from her and Lynn is across from me. Everyone of these ladies crack me up! We had such a great time together catching up over dinner and have a movie night planned next week after church.

It was AMAZING.

The Jingle Bell Jam was my favorite this week at church! This was a Christmas jazz concert, put on by our jazz band, orchestra, and a few extra friends. It was phenomenal!

Dad and Sandy were there! This picture was from two years ago, though. I forgot to get one of us this week.

Lastly, this has been one of my favorite ways to spend mornings before work this week. I love doing an Advent devotional each year, and this one is so good.

In case you missed my other blog posts this week, I'll link them below.

Monday was a weekending recap.

Tuesday I shared about keeping your joy intact during the holidays and throughout the year.

Wednesday was the December edition of Currently.

And yesterday was Thankful Thursday

What was a favorite from your week? I'd love to hear from you! I hope you have a great weekend, friends. Thanks for reading my blog! Love to all.
