share four somethings, December

It's the last share four somethings of the year! As predicted, December just flew right by. This is why I decorate early, friends. I love all the sights, sounds and smells the season has to offer. This post is all about something loved, something read or said, something treasured and something ahead. I'm linking up with Heather for this monthly link party.

Something loved:

All the Christmas! This is my most loved time of year and give me all the Christmas things please! I'm sad that by this time next week, it'll be over. I don't know how long I'll let our stuff stay out. As much as I love this time of year, I'm usually ready to pack it all up right after the holiday and definitely before the new year.

I wear Christmas attire, Christmas jewelry and Christmas colored dip powder on my nails. I've made myself a new name—just call me Mrs. Christmas.

Something read or said:

All the Christmas books. I love them all! My favorite so far this month was Dear Santa, by Debbie Macomber. Check back on Wednesday, when I share all the books I read this month and my favorites of the year. I'll share how many I read with you as well. but know that I blew my goal out of the water this year. I made one new year resolution this year and I far exceeded what I had in mind.

Something treasured:

Quality time with people I love! I'm so fortunate to have spent loads of that with this them throughout this month.

Something ahead:

I'm looking forward to sharing more about this in the days to come, but I already have a word for my new year. The Lord started revealing it to me earlier this season, starting back at the beginning of November and He just keeps affirming it over and over again. I want to talk to Him about it some more before I share it here with you, but I have a day planned that I want to be alone with Him to do this. I was inspired by my favorite author to do this and I'll share more about that as well soon.

Thanks for reading my blog! Love to all.

  3. A Byrd in His Hands- Thank you! I love it too. I think that you cannot go wrong with any of Debbie Macomber's books. I have never met one I didn't love. Have you ever read anything by Pamela Kelley? She has so many books out and she's become my newest favorite author! You should start with her Nantucket Inn series- Beach Plum Cove books. They're all wonderful!

  4. Cindy, I totally understand that. I've actually done the same thing in the past several years, but now I read on a Kindle and it's changed my reading life! I've read so many books on that thing that it's ridiculous. My family laughs at me for this addiction! I suppose my eyesight was what kept me from reading a lot for those years...that and the fact that physical books are much more cumbersome.

I say all that to say that you should consider a reading device, if you don't already use one. It worked for me and I love sharing what works. Thanks for stopping by! Merry Christmas!
