Happy Friday, friends! I'm linking up with Andrea from Momfessionals today for this weekly blog post. I have to say that I am so glad this week has passed by—I was dreading it because of some surgery our dog had...but more about this in just a minute. Though I was dreading the week, it wasn't as bad as I'd made it out to be in my head. I am very good at doing that and thinking things are always going to be worse than they really are.
Here are some of my favorites from this week.
Nail day is one of my favorite days! I go once every three to four weeks, and this was on Monday when I got them done in bright white. They'd been red, so I was ready for neutral. I have a pattern—I go with color one time, then the next time I go neutral. White is one of my favorites.
We get attached to our favorite vehicles, don't we?
These verses in Psalm are some of my favorites. 💓
I don't have a picture, as usual, but one of my very best friends and I met for dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant last night. We haven't seen each other since before Thanksgiving! That was when we met and then ended up sharing covid. I'm rolling my eyes. Going out with her and catching up is always a favorite! We ended the night in our normal way—at HomeGoods, sniffing all the candles. (I came home with two! I bought one and she bought me one for my birthday!)
Time with friends is always a favorite and I also spent time with three other friends one night this week after church. I love our nights out together and will look back on them and treasure them for the rest of my days. We just laugh and laugh and laugh when we're together.
On a very somber note, I am so heartbroken for all of the loss around me that I've witnessed lately. We have had so many funerals at our church it seems lately and two friends of mine recently lost loved ones. They've been heavy on my mind and heart this week. I know this already, but seeing what so many people are saying about one friend on his Facebook page just makes me realize even more how important it is to cherish our loved ones and to tell them the things we love about them, not wait until it's too late. We never know when it's going to be someone's last day.
I don't mean to be all morbid on here, but these are the thoughts I've been thinking on all week, not to mention the serious things going on in our nation right now. Needless to say, I've spent more time than usual praying this week. I could never do that enough and I encourage you to do the same, if you're a believer and follower of Jesus.
Thanks for reading, friends. Love to all.
A few things....one, I love those robin eggs candy too!
ReplyDeleteYour nails look so pretty! Is that the dip powder?
I'm so impressed with the artwork at the church!
Also, I am sorry for the loss of death so many are experiencing as well. I have heard of several this week too and am going to a funeral tomorrow. It definitely makes us cherish our time with people.
Have a great weekend Jennifer!
Marilyn- yes! They are so yummy. I do the dip powder on my nails after a couple years of doing shellac. My nails are paper thin and the dip powder makes them strong. I know several people who don't like it because of that. I was blown away by the kids area! There are some incredibly talented people there. Yes! I try to cherish every moment. I hope you have a great weekend as well! ❤️
DeleteI love your white/neutral nails. The church revamp looks incredible...I agree my kids would have loved that! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tanya! My boys loved all sports, so it's especially appealing to boys, I am sure. Have a great weekend!
DeleteI've already polished off one bag of mini eggs this season... they are so good! Time with friends is the best.
ReplyDeleteJoanne- yes, girl! To both the mini eggs AND girlfriend time. 🙌
