labor day and Hello Monday link-up

Happy Labor day (and Monday), friends! I'm linking up with Tanya over at The Other Side of the Road for this blog post. I hope you're able to enjoy part of your day with family or friends! We're all over the place, those of us in my home, as is our new normal. I am spending part of my day shopping with my best friend, which is crazy uncharacteristic of us.

I don't have a ton to write about today, just a few little weekending things that we did. My dad was here on Friday and Todd worked that night, so I joined my mom and stepdad at their house for dinner. I invited myself over when I found out everyone had plans.

On Saturday I got my hair done at eleven thirty, then we met Todd's parents for dinner that night. It was good seeing them and having the chance to catch up. We tried to get yogurt afterwards, but they were closed.

I was at church Sunday morning and we had a great service. We stayed home the rest of the day, ate a good dinner and started the new series Cobra Kai on Netflix. It's so good! The language is pretty rough, but so was the original movie. Johnny and Daniel look exactly the same—it made me want to watch the original movies, but I couldn't find them on Netflix. I think they're on Hulu, so I'll be doing that sometime soon, most likely.

How was your weekend? I'll leave you with some pictures.

I love the new fall cnadles I bought last week! This one smells like apple pie.

I love my lighter and brighter hair! I had it trimmed and long layers added in to help thin it out without actually thinning it this time. I love the result and always appreciate hair that's less in volume. And blonde makes me so happy—I know it's not for everyone, but I feel better after I do this. Because of my curly hair, I can stretch out doing this to three times a year usually. I also usually don't get my hair cut between appointments.

Thanks for reading! Love to all.
