the eve of Christmas eve

Last night and today were magical.  I was able to snuggle up in front of a heater Todd is testing out for his shop last night and enjoy watching my favorite movie of all time with my favorite man in the whole world.

:)

Cozy.  In case you're wondering, my favorite movie of all time is The Holiday.  Before and after this movie, I was busy making Christmas goodies for today and wrapping gifts at the last minute.  Actually, Todd wrapped the gifts.  I cleaned up my monstrous mess.

The boys spent the night with their Papa and Mimi.  Today was our Christmas with them, and Tim and Tracy (Todd's brother and wife) and their kids, Nathan, Joseph and Zeke.

In the above pictures is Zeke.  He is slightly loved by his older cousins.  ;)

And this sums them all up.  Left to right is Jonah, Nathan is the one being held, Joseph, Noah and Drew.  Check out Drew's face...and his shirt...too funny!  These kids are a trip and LOVE being together.  Zeke was being held and I don't know where Graham was when this was taken.

It was a wonderful day, and one we always thoroughly enjoy.  It's laid back, we usually end up falling asleep at some point (today it was Tracy, Todd and me) and we laugh and sometimes we cry.  Today we did all of that.  My favorite gift of all today was a beautiful calender of pictures from forever ago...I wept the entire time I looked through it.

On the internet this morning, I saw this verse that was K-Love's verse of the day:

God is so good...so much more than I can even process.  He has continually shown His goodness to me over the years, but in the past few days, He has completely and totally blown my mind.  It's been an emotional roller coaster, as some things have happened and we told Jonah and Noah the truth about who Santa Clause really is.  It's all for the best, and they already kinda knew, and honestly, it's a huge relief.  It becomes burdensome to continue on the pretending.

But God is so good.  And I just want you to know that.  I'm not sure if I'll be blogging in the next few days, so in case I don't, Merry Christmas to you and yours.  May the good Lord bless you and keep you and may His face shine upon you in the coming days and year.  Love to all.
