vacation eve

We are on official countdown mode until we leave tomorrow morning.  I'm reading my lists and checking them twice.  I've got clothes washing, waiting to be dried, suitcases are out on the beds in the process of being filled up, the hubby and older boys are out checking the X-Box for something, the food from the pantry is stowed away...and here I sit writing a blog post.

Or not...I do my best work when I'm under the pressure of a deadline, and rest assured that I will be the first to wake tomorrow morning to finish all the little details that might have gotten overlooked.

I'm ready to go!

I love road trips.  I'm excited about the fact that my kids will be traveling to new places, and let me just go ahead and make a disclaimer: I will be taking tons of pictures.  I do plan on taking my regular camera, but I'm not sure how much I'll use it.  It's been a couple years since I've actually used it, partly because I thought it was broken, but my handyman of a husband repaired it...and I had forgotten about it.

The kids have never been on such a long trip before...I hope we all survive being around one another for so many days in a row!  Ha...I'm only partially kidding.  I have friends praying for us.  ;)  I don't know when the next time I will be on this blog will be, so I thought I would give a quick update before we leave tomorrow.  Happy Friday to you!  Love to all.
